Eid Ghadeer is one of the greatest Eids in Islam, It is a special day for Ahl al-Bayt ( The family of the Prophet Muhammad) peace be upon them , "Muslims must believe in this Eid so their prayers and fasting could be accepted and without this belief their deeds are not accepted"
The greatness of anything acquired from the importance of impact. Islam and any other religion derives its value from the greatness of its message, and the honor of the message from the greatness of its teachings or instructions .
And these instructions in immortal Islam brought in to stay and continue, But God Almighty make these instructions at the disposal of people, therefore we found these teachings deviated and differ according to their interests, Imam Ali guardian of the Prophet Muhammad, and there is no prophet without a guardian or successor, his successor in the interpretation of his instructions and in protection his instructions of distortion. This fact (Every prophet has a guardian) found in all the books of the Muslims. The Shia Imami that "every prophet has a guardian" is one of the essentials of their faith by evidence of the mind and transport.

The story :
When the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace be upon him and his family) finished of hujjat al wadaa (hujjat al wadaa: The last pilgrimage to prophet muhammad) and the Muslims with him, they are more than one hundred thousand people, Revelation descended three times, to tell the messenger of Allah Muhammad that Imam Ali is his successor (his Khalifa).
The third and final time when the revelation came to Prophet Muhammad, In a place called Ghadeer Khum, was in eighteenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah Hijra. This place (Ghadeer Khum) was not good enough to deliver a speech to people, It was very hot and there is not enough water in it,
malak gebrayel (peace be upon him) descended to the Prophet Muhammad, saying the Almighty: O Messenger (Muhammad) Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allah guides not the people who disbelieve.)) Surah al maidah 67
Prophet Muhammad responded to the call of God, and ordered the people to gather, Prophet Muhammad ascended to a high place with Imam Ali, and said: The virtues of Imam Ali in the quran are many, believe it,
And prophet muhammed said: ((O people obey Allah and His Messenger prophet muhammed, and the successor of prophet muhammed (Imam Ali), and Imam Ali's sons, who did that, Has won))
Then the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and his family) Spoke loudest voice and raise Imam Ali's hand, said: Whomsoever's master (maula) I am, Ali is also his (maula) master. O God, love those who love him, and be hostile to those who are hostile to him. "
